Marmite and Egg

Opinions are divided as to the edibility of Marmite. People seem to either think that it is divine ambrosia, or vile axle grease, with few people being in between. I fall in the former camp. I once served a piece of toast liberally spread with this heavenly substance to an American friend of mine. I'm not sure he has forgiven me yet.

Highveld Landscape Revisited, and Other Phenomena

I decided I didn't like the cattle in the landscape in the previous post; they looked rather amateurishly painted, at least to my dubious eye. So I removed them:

Highveld Landscape

The kind of thing I grew up with - sun-drenched fields with cattle and outbuildings. Loosely based on a photo I took near the town of Rayton, Gauteng. Oil on board, 20 x 25 cm:
